The times and life of Laurie

This last month I finished working at Nutty Guys (at least in the office). I still do farmers markets for them and will finish out the season doing the Salt Lake Market. I get to see people I know from time to time. I wen to Michigan this last month for a training for school. I left early Sunday morning and came back at 10:30 Friday night. I stayed at a really nice Hotel were I could had some visitors. I had two queen size beds, a walk in closet, bathroom sitting area and I even had room service were I was served breakfast. It was a really fancy hotel.

I had training everyday from 8 am to 3:30 pm. We rode what one teacher calls the "Cheese!" Aka the school bus. We had to be on the bus at 7:30 or pay $50.00 for a taxi to take me to the school. I always choose the cheese! I learned how to run a computer lab that I will be teaching to 7th graders this school year. There will be 18 different lab going on at once. I am sure that the beginning of the school year will be a headache for me but I will learn as time goes on. I am glad that I am doing it with another teacher that take off some of the pressure. Plus, he thinks of me as only doing this for one year and moving on because the other girl I am working with will quit next school year. There wasn't much to do in downtown Grand Rapids. Everything was closed at 5 pm. That didn't give me time to do anything. It was different because all of the other teachers wanted to drink at night. I decided on see things and doing things that I have done before. I was able to see the President Ford Muesum. I was acrossed the river from where I stayed. I had dinner in fancy resturants all paid by the training or my school. Enjoyed a week of relaxing at night, swimming, see a motorcyle party and holding some bird on my arm. I met some really nice people and learned a lot. I came back to pack and go to the family reunion. I enjoyed that. I was also able to go on a ward campout to Lava Hot Springs again. That was super fun. This time I didn't get any scrapes that is because I was riding the tube with Talena and she never falls out. :) (Don't have any pictures forgot my camera). Well it was a eventfully month for me and I know this month will be also. School starts again Aug 25th. Crazy that the summer has gone by so fast. I visited so many places and have scene so many things. It has been great.
